Fishburn Hedges hired to raise awareness of the Home Heat Helpline

25.10.2011

Energy UK has appointed Fishburn Hedges, after a competitive pitch process, to raise awareness of the Home Heat Helpline amongst those eligible for help with their energy costs.

The Home Heat Helpline was set up in 2005 and provides free advice to people concerned about their fuel bill and keeping warm. It is provided by Energy UK on behalf of the six major energy suppliers, who fund it as part of their commitment to helping vulnerable customers.

The Fishburn Hedges team will lead a programme of media relations and engagement with intermediary organisations which will roll out across the UK through the autumn and winter.

Peter Jenkins, Energy UK’s head of communications and public affairs, said: “We have worked with Fishburn Hedges for a number of years on the award winning Carbon Monoxide – Be Alarmed! campaign and we felt the integrated approach they offer is very well suited to the Home Heat Helpline campaign.”

Martin Brown, director at Fishburn Hedges, said: “There are too many people who are eligible for help but are not claiming it. We’re delighted to be working on such an important campaign.”
