Fishburn Hedges Group is committed to minimising its environmental impacts and seeks to integrate environmental considerations into all its business activities. The Group holds the Carbon Trust Standard, an independent certification which is awarded to organisations that measure, manage and reduce their carbon footprint.
In managing our business, we will:
- Conduct our activities in full knowledge of and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Integrate environmental considerations and objectives into our purchasing decisions.
- Establish environmental targets and measure performance against them.
- Minimise consumption of natural resources and wastage of materials as far as economically practicable.
We will deliver this commitment through a dedicated annual plan managed by our internal environment committee and signed off by our management group. In 2010 our plan aims to:
- Reduce energy usage by 10% by 2010 (from 2006 benchmark) by encouraging efficient use of lighting, heating and electronic equipment.
- Minimise the use of resources by our people, particularly paper, and promote recycling.
- Promote awareness of the environmental impacts of transport, and encourage the use of public transport.
- Encourage awareness and commitment to consider the environment amongst our people and our suppliers.
Carbon Trust Standard
We are committed to considering the environment within all our business decisions, and to encourage our people and suppliers to do so as well.
As a Group, we hold the Carbon Trust Standard - the first PR agency to achieve it - which is an independent certification awarded to businesses that measure, manage and reduce their carbon footprint.
We review our environmental plan each year and take action where we can make the most difference – by cutting our energy usage, making efficient use of resources by recycling and choosing environmentally friendly options, and promoting public transport.
